Initial D,the famous Japanese manga serie which were created in Hong Kong live action movie,finally make its move to PS3.For you all that unfamilar with Initial D here is the summarize.
The serie is mainly about Japanese mountain racing which is very popular for many sport car owners. Takumi Fujiwara is a son of Tofu shop owner.His father was very famous Akina mountain downhill driver.Takumi helping his father by delivering tofu to the hotel on the top of Akina mountain everyday since he was 14 (It is illegal as you may know) with his father outdated Toyota Corolla AE86. This activity is finally discovered by Takahashi brothers, famous drivers from Akagi Redsuns team.
The game use the same engine with the arcade stage.So,the graphic may not use the full capacity of PS3 CPU.Still,the replay is very fantastic scene. You will find it is very intense when you watch your favourite car battling against a NPC or other players.
According to many arcade players' reviews, the drving will be feel a bit sliding rather than griping like the early version. The real advantage is the online playing system which you can play with other players in the world ?? ( If they are correct, because I heard that it will be limited within the country.) As for sport cars ths game contain for about 26 cars. All of them are
famous japanese sport cars. I really like Skyline GT-R ^_^. There will be 6 mountains for racing with 2 directions (Mostly Uphill and Downhill) , 2 conditions ( Dry and Wet) , and 2 time of a day ( Day/Night).
In a story mode you will usually meet 3-4 opponents on each courses.They will have a different
level of driving skill.So, beware the Ghost of Akina downhill when you meet him.
